Production of Norwin wind turbines in Italy

Norwin A/S enters into an agreement with the Italian company Wind Engineering SpA for license production of turbines for the European markets.

With this agreement, the Norwin 29-Stall-200 kW and the Norwin 29-Stall 225 kW wind turbines will be produced in Europe.

Increasing demands in especially Italy, as well as United Kingdom, have generated a need for establishing a European production facility.

Norwin is now in the process of transferring technology to the Italian company, which will market its turbines under the name of Norwin in Europe. The process will proceed with a very intensive phase until the first delivery, which is expected to take place in spring 2012.

In the coming years, Norwin, together with Wind Engineering, will further develop the turbine so that it will become even more efficient and give higher kWh outputs for the customers.

Norwin’s 200kW and 225 kW turbines were developed by Norwin’s own engineers in Denmark and have long track records with operational experience for more than 20 years. The turbines are continuously being up-graded with the latest technological know-how within the wind industry.

Wind Engineering SpA works closely together with the Italian project developer SEI - Societá Elettrica Italiana - and will eventually offer a full range of services to customers all over Europe.

Norwin is proud to present a European produced wind turbine in the mid-size market.
